Douris (tyrant)

Douris (Greek: Δούρις) (ca. 352 BC - ca. 260 BC) was a tyrant of Samos and a descendant of Alcibiades of Athens. In his old age he wrote a number of philosophical and historical works, including a four-volume biography of Agathocles, a history of Samos, a history of Macedonia, and a 23-volume history of Greece.
