Douglas J. Mink

Douglas J Mink is a Astronomical Software Developer and Data Archivist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Mink was a part of a team which discovered rings around the planet Uranus.[1]

Mink was born in Elgin, Illinois in 1951. He graduated from Dundee Community High School in 1969. He earned Bachelors (1973) and Masters (1974) degrees in Planetary Science from MIT.

Mink has also served as an officer and director of the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition.[2] He has been the route planner for the Massachusetts portion of the East Coast Greenway since 1991.
