The Dougherty County School System is the school district in Dougherty County, Georgia (county seat Albany, Georgia). Currently, 16,844 students attend 15 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 4 high schools, and 1 alternative school.

The system is governed by a 7-member school board and an administrative staff. The school board consists of 6 members elected from geographical school districts and one at-large member. The admnistrative staff consists of Superintendent Dr. Sally Whatley, and Deputy Superintendent Carlos Keith.
