Doug Ricketson

Doug Ricketson (Sydney, Australia), was a rugby league footballer in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition.

Ricketson played for the Eastern suburbs (1960-63) and Penrith (1967) clubs. Doug is the father of Eastern Suburbs longest serving player Luke Ricketson. A centre Ricketson was a member of the Eastern Suburbs side that was defeated by St George in the 1960 Grand Final. He represented Sydney in a match against Great Britain In 1962 Ricketson played for Penrith in there debut season in the NSWRL before a knee injury brought about an end to his career.

Formerly an athletic coach at Wavery High, in Sydney, Ricketson spent a lot of time coaching in country areas.
