Douglas ("Doug") Keith Nussmeier is the current quarterbacks coach for the St. Louis Rams National Football League franchise. He played quarterback in the NFL for five seasons, spending four years with the New Orleans Saints and one with the Indianapolis Colts. In 1998 he spent part of traning camp with the Denver Broncos.

At Idaho, Nussmeier won the 1993 Walter Payton Award, presented annually to the Division I-AA player of the year. That year, he threw a school-record 33 touchdown passes, helping the Vandals to an 11-3 record.
