Douglas John Insole (b. 18 April 1926) in Clapton. He played nine Tests for England in the 1950s and he was one of the few to be a wicket-keeper, batsmen and bowler. Doug Insole was one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1956. He is President of the MCC for the twelve months beginning 1 October 2006.
