Doug's Bum Rap and Doug & Patti Sittin' in a Tree comprise the second episode in the fourth season of Nickelodeon's animated television series Doug.

[edit] Doug's Bum Rap

Doug is called into the office and he is accused of cheating on his test. His answers are identical to Chalky Studebaker's, and Doug wants to prove to Mr. Bone that he did not cheat. They only have one day to confess or they will both have to retake the test. So it's up to Doug to try and talk to Chalky, but every time he sees him, (while playing sports) he will usually run off. Finally, Doug sees Chalky at his house and he finally confesses to Doug that he cheated, because he was so busy with sports and didn't have time to study. He agrees to re-take the test, but it will cost him a very important football game.

While at lunch, Patti asks Doug if he'd like to go to a movie. Of course, everybody overhears this and they all tease Doug, assuming it's a date. Everybody starts giving dating advice to him, especially Skeeter, who reads Doug a book about dating. He even follows Judy around, while she's on a date, and tries to take notes. Finally, the night of the "date," Doug keeps telling himself it's not a date, but while at the movie and walking Patti back to her apartment, he believes that it kind of was like a date, and on his way home, all the kids are outside Patti's apartment and want advice on how to get girls.
