Double Act

Double Act is a children's book by Jacqueline Wilson, written in the style of a diary it follows the story of identical twin girls Ruby and Garnet. The book begins with the girls living with their father and grandmother, their mother having died when they were quite young. After their dad meets someone new and they move to the countryside the girls, who have always done everything together, begin to develop as individuals.

Deals with the issues of the death of a parent, moving house as a child and sibling arguments.They fall out at times but they are always friends again.In the middle of the book Ruby and Garnet move to the country to build a bookshop.It is not mentioned too much in the book.
