[edit] Looking for articles to work on?

Hello, DonnEdwards. I'm SuggestBot, a Wikipedia bot that helps new members contribute to Wikipedia. Based on your previous edits, I have made a list of articles you might like to work on. I hope you find this useful. -- SuggestBot 13:53, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Audible

You put that Goldwave can change .aa files to mp3. How? I have been trying and i can't get it to work, is there any trick i need to do? Thanks Wardenusa 16:04, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

1. Close all Audible software

2. Launch Goldwave. Mine is version 5.11

3. Select "Open", change the file type to "All" and find the .aa file to open.

4. Save the file as .mp3 or whatever format you'd like. Donn Edwards 22:59, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Okay if I use a picture of your talk page in a thesis?

Hi there. I was wondering if I could take a picture of your talk page to include in a thesis, part of which is about SuggestBot. Please let me know if this would be an issue for you. Thanks. -- ForteTuba 20:59, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Go right ahead --Donn Edwards 06:53, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Jaymcgraw.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Jaymcgraw.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Please do not upload files in the GIF format

Hello and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you've uploaded a number of images in the GIF format. In the future, please save GIF images in the PNG format before converting (see Wikipedia:Preparing images for upload). PNG images almost always have a smaller file size, which decreases the amount of time they take to load. There are a bunch of other advantages to the PNG format such as lossless compression that you can read about on its Wikipedia article. ---Remember the dot 23:57, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Jaymcgraw.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Jaymcgraw.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Oden 11:24, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
