Dontarrious Dewayne Thomas (born September 2, 1980 in Perry, Georgia) is a professional football linebacker with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. Thomas was drafted in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft as the forty-eighth overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings, with whom he recorded 59 tackles in his rookie season and 48 tackles in 2005.
Thomas, originally from Perry, Georgia, played collegiately for Auburn University. Thomas ended his Auburn career with 351 tackles.
In addition to his athletic ability, Thomas is known for his intelligence. He was the inaugural winner of the Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award in the Southeastern Conference and was one of only 8 Division I players named a National College Scholar-Athlete in 2003.

At Perry High School in Perry, Georgia, Dontarrious Thomas was a three sport standout in football, basketball, and track. In football, he was a Class 2-A-All-State selection,and as a senior, had 6 interceptions, returned an interception for a touchdown, had 78 tackles (50 solo tackles, 28 assisted), and rushed for 278 yards on only 14 carries (19.9 yd. per rush avg.).
