Donnica Moore
Dr. Donnica Moore is an active and effective advocate for women's health, promoting healthful lifestyles for women, as well as promoting women's health issues in the medical industry and society at large.
[edit] Education, Medical Training, and Research
Dr. Donnica Moore was born and raised in New York City. She graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 1981, where she won a Rotary International Graduate Fellowship to attend The University College of Dublin School of Medicine in Ireland. Later, she studied medicine at The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree.
She did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Temple University Hospital, and in family medicine at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County (NJ). She has 40 professional publications on women's health and career issues, covering topics including clinical and research issues in women's health, the drug discovery and development process, osteoporosis, cervical cancer, product liability, the impact of managed care on clinical research, media management of women's health and disease management.

She served for seven years on the Board of Directors of The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA), as well as serving on the Boards of Directors of The Society for Women's Health Research, The National Council on Women's Health, The Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research, and Research!America (a coalition of over 300 institutions and organizations that support biomedical research). She serves as a member of the Editorial Board of The Journal of Women's Health, and is the author of the "Doctor On Call" column in "First for Women Magazine." She is a frequent and popular speaker at women's fairs, employee meetings, consumer and professional associations, and medical conventions and organization meetings. She is a founding co-chair of the annual national Congress on Women's Health. Dr. Moore is a member of the medical advisory board for the Cosmetics Executive Women website CancerAndCareers.org.
She is the Founder and President of DrDonnica.com (a popular women's health information site), as well as the Founder and President of Sapphire Women's Health Group. She is women's health expert for Yahoo! Health.
"Dr. Donnica" appears frequently on television in her role as an educator and advocate for women's health issues. She was a weekly guest from [[1999] to 2000 for women's health issues on [NBC]'s "Later Today," and appeared on NBC's "Weekend Today Show," "The Oprah Winfrey Show", American Broadcasting Company's "The View", "Good Morning America", and CNN's "CNN International." In addition to television, she appears also on radio, including as host of the nationally syndicated (132 markets) "Dr. Donnica's Women's Health Report" from 2000 to 2002.

In addition to the awards mentioned above, Dr. Moore is the recipient of the first "Alumnae Leadership Award" from The Women's Center at Princeton University. She was named "One of the Most Influential Forces in Healthcare Information Technology" by Advance for Healthcare Technology magazine, winner of The New Jersey Commission on the Status of Women's "Connie Woodruff Award" for "the woman who has best demonstrated a major commitment to women's issues and concerns."
