Dong Ho Painting or Dong Ho folkore wood-caved painting is a traditional folklore painting made in Dong Ho Village, Song Ho Commune, Thuan Thanh County of Bac Ninh Province, a province loacted just north of Hanoi. Paintings here varies from decoration painting during Tet to worship painting. Dong Ho painting is considered one of Vietnam's cultural symbol as it was made centuries ago. Paintings in Dong Ho is made with wood carved version and printing in Gio Papper, a kind of paper produced locally. Topics of the paintings often the ordinary life landscapes in Vietnam, seasons of the years, prosperity symbol, happiness symbol...Today, the traditional painting-making in this village faces the danger of disappearance due to the decreased sale of the product.
