Doncaster Handicap

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Doncaster Handicap is a Group 1 thoroughbred horse race held at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney. It is held each year on Easter Monday. The race is contested over 1600 metres (one mile) and has a current prize of $2,500,000. Many great horses have won the race, including several who have also won the spring equivalent, the Epsom Handicap, while Super Impose created history in 1990 and 1991 by becoming the only horse to win both races on two occasions.
