Don't Forget Me is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 2002 album, By the Way.

The song's lyrics, while containing references to drugs and other types of addiction, tell a story from the standpoint of a spirit or higher power who is present and available in any situation, no matter how difficult or unsavory.

The music features strummed bass chords (all power chords, a departure from bassist Flea's usual style). Guitarist John Frusciante uses a hammer-on/tapping riff (also a different approach for Frusciante, who usually avoids excessive tapping) for the verses and chords with odd intervals for the chorus.
