Dominique J. 'Gil' Guillory

Dominique J. "Gil" Guillory (b. 4 December 1905; d. July 15, 2005) was Mayor of Bartlett, Tennessee from 1959 to 1965. He was born December 4, 1905 near Eunice, LA, the son of Jean Baptiste and Eugenie Guillory. Guillory established Guillory Sales Co., a vegetable oil brokerage business, in Shreveport, LA and moved his business and family to Memphis in 1941. He also owned Guillory Farms, raising polled hereford cattle in the 1950's until his retirement in 1985. He was a long time resident of Bartlett, serving as president of the Bartlett Civic Club in the 1940's and as mayor of Bartlett in the 1950's. He died on July 15, 2005 in Atlanta, GA, at the age of 99.
