Dominion Virginia Power is a power company located in the state of Virginia. The company's foundings date back to the beginnings of the United States and include such luminaries as James Madison and George Washington.

There is currently a large debate about the company's decision to create new power lines not under current easements, with some people having to be displaced if it is implemented. On Feb. 13, 2007 the Washington Post reported that Dominion was planning to change the power line route, a move designed to appease critics, although Rep. Frank Wolf and others remained opposed [1].
