Dominic James

Dominic James (born October 5, 1986) is an American basketball player. The Richmond, Indiana native is currently playing for the Marquette University Golden Eagles men's basketball team of the NCAA. The 5"11 175 pound sophomore is Marquette's go-to-guy on the team, averaging 14.9 points, 4.9 assists,and 3.0 rebounds per game. In 2005-06, James was one of three Marquette players to start every game of the season, while being named Big East Rookie of the Year honors, in addition to numerous other awards. James topped his previous career-high 28 points with a team leading 29 points at DePaul University on January 17, 2006. James notched his first double-double of the season at the University of Louisville on March 1, 2006, with 16 points and a team leading 11 rebounds. National spokesman for the CHAA-FM in the greater Milwaukee area. Dominic has a tattoo of himself along with the words "God-Given Talent." He was a projected Top-15 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, but has since lost value as the result of an extended shooting slump. On the slump, James has made only 25 of his 91 field goal attempts, including 4 of 31 beyond the arc. On March 3, 2007, James tallied a career high 10 assists while missing eight minutes due to cramps in the Golden Eagles' victory over 12th ranked Pittsburgh. Dominic is the son of Angela James and Greg Wright, has two brothers: Germayne, who played college basketball at Lakeland College in Wisconsin, and Donovan as well as two sisters, Alexis and Shantae.The person he most admires is his grandmother Priscilla Tillie Bowen. He majors in public relations.
