Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center is a station in the MARTA rail system. As the station name suggests, the station provides service to the Georgia Dome, the Georgia World Congress Center, Philips Arena, and the CNN Center. Access also to the Omni and Glenn hotels, Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Tower. When the station first opened in 1979, it was called Omni station due to its proximity to the now-demolished Omni Coliseum. This is the longest name for a subway station in the world.[citation needed]
