New rides and attractions are added every year to keep the park fresh and fun, and the park currently boasts over 20 slides. Dollywood's Splash Country was named the "Best New Waterpark" by the World Waterpark Association during the park's inaugural season.

The park's operating season runs from mid-May through mid-September.

Both Dollywood and Dollywood's Splash Country are owned by country music superstar Dolly Parton and the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation.

Surrounded by the lush landscaping of trees and plants, the pool's centerpiece is a waterfall that spills from a giant rock grotto. In addition, guests will feel the refreshing effects of 20-foot water sprays from a geyser situated on the pool's edge. The Cascades' 25 interactive elements include four slides that weave throughout the grotto. Younger guests will discover a series of small coves around the pool's perimeter filled with slides, misters and bubblers.
