Talk:Dogs Must Be Carried

This page exists - and was specifically created - for two reasons: 1) To provide a link with valid, factual information to a mention of one of my tracks on the entry for Simon Cowell and 2) To provide a means to an update made to the entry for Thunderbolt and Smokey! I cannot see what constitutes blatant advertising about the post - I am a podcaster and a comedian, and I have made podcasts that do not generate any revenue for me personally and happen to have a CD available as a result of that. I have not included links to sites or stores where the CD can be bought as this would quite obviously constitute advertising. I read several band, comedian and podcast entries in the process of writing and redrafting this entry, and feel that it is no more promoting a product than the entries for more established artists, most of whose entries are written and updated by professional PR officers. I, of course, remain open to any suggested edits you may have to lessen any perception of this entry being part of a marketing campaign, or whatever, as that was not my intention or motivation in creating an entry. - I removed the speedy deletion tag because this isn't a blatant ad. A few things:
- Don't write articles where you have a clear conflict of interest.
- Material must be attributable to independent reliable sources and neutral, and it must meet notability guidelines. If it doesn't meet all three, then it could be up for deletion via proposed deletion or articles for deletion.
- Material here should not look anything like something from professional PR officers. This is what probably set off a red flag for a user to assume this was an ad. --Wafulz 20:53, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
