Dogging

Dogging can mean:-
- Doing the action of the verb "to dog" in its various meanings, e.g.:-
- "Dogging someone's heels" = following him closely.
- Sometimes in industry, some ways of fastening something to something, ref. comparing with a dog biting and holding on: see Dog (engineering).
- On the west coast of Scotland, playing truant from school and occasionally from work [1].
- In American English, a critical or insulting slang term.
- At the Publishers Weekly review of "The Pawprints of History: Dogs and the Course of Human Events", by Stanley Coren, possibly quotes the author, "the Spanish conquistadors fortified their military with dogs, and 'the cruelest of the Spanish leaders would use the dogs as a means of public execution. This was known as "dogging"'."
- British slang for a type of public sex activity: see Dogging (sexual slang).
