Dog Eat Dog is Joni Mitchell's album of 1985, her second album for Geffen Records. Whereas most of Mitchell's work has a timeless quality and sound to it, Dog Eat Dog goes out of its way to sound like 1985. The lyrics deal with issues facing society at the time, such as televangelists and famine in Ethiopia, and the sound is very pop/techno. It was produced by Thomas Dolby, Mike Shipley and Larry Klein, Joni's husband at the time.
