Dodo Jin Ming is a Chinese-American photographer. She trained as a violinist before gaining celebrity for her photography, taken both in Hong Kong and the northeastern United States. Jin Ming is most well known for her Free Element series, depicting seascapes and fields of drying sunflowers. These are often printed by combining two different negatives, one of sky and one of sea. Ming's work has been compared to paintings by Turner and Winslow Homer.
