Suspected sockpuppet notice

If you remove the "suspected sockpuppet" template from your userpage again before the question is resolved to my satisfaction, I will restore it, protect the page, and block you for vandalism. This is your first, last, and only warning. Nandesuka 15:26, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

You asked me "How am I supposed to dispute this?"
Step 1: Come up with a compelling thesis explaining how two unconnected individuals would have even heard of the extremely obscure, not-in-any-way-notable H. Elwood Gilliland, let alone why those two unconnected individuals would obsessively insert references to same in articles to which he has only the most tangential relevance.
After Step 1, you're on your own. Nandesuka 22:29, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Per my earlier warning to you, I have blocked you for two days. Let's see what this request for checkuser turns up. Nandesuka 12:20, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
So you didn't block me, then you blocked me for 7 days? That was unfair. You did that on purpose, I think you are abusing your administrative authority. Plus, you put an article up for NiMUD just to weaken my argument. Not fair. When I get unblocked I'm contacting the AMA. Doctor Octagon 19:20, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

(Personal attack removed)

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. -- Avi 14:28, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

How am I supposed to respond to this lame tag being added to my user page, User:Avi? Doctor Octagon 18:31, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I have asked Nandesuka to follow up with a sockpuppetry report. Also, he does have an open checkuser request. Depending on the results of those two, the tag will be confirmed or removed, I gather. -- Avi 18:39, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
How can I report on an admin who is abusing his power and using sockpuppetry? Doctor Octagon 18:40, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I see no evidence of abuse by Nandesuka, but if you wish to make a report, I believe WP:AN/I is the place. -- Avi 18:46, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Extending your block

I just saw this edit that you left on RonZ's page. I am extending your block to 5 days for your egregious incivility. Nandesuka 12:37, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Supposed vanity insertions by Herb Gilliland

It is unacceptable for you to be inserting vanity references to yourself in an article -- any article. I strongly suggest that if you want to become famous, you work hard to be cited by reliable sources which can then be cited by Wikipedia, rather than inserting such references yourself. Nandesuka 14:44, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't think so, User:Nandesuka. Prove it. Doctor Octagon 13:54, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't need to prove it to you, but to other admins. I'm happy to email the relevant logs to any admin who asks.
This is your final warning. The next vanity references you insert will result in longer and longer blocks. Nandesuka 15:03, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Prove it. Doctor Octagon 03:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

NiMUD

Hi, please don't recreate a deleted article. If you disagree with its original deletion, take it to Wikipedia:Deletion review. Thanks. - Bobet 14:32, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Sockpuppet notice on User:Nandesuka

Why did you place a sockpuppet tag on User:Nandesuka's user page. Do you have any evidence to back up this allegation? Gwernol 18:45, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

And another on User:Ronz's user page. Do you have any evidence to back this up? Gwernol 18:46, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
The evidence was destroyed when Nandesuka opted to post AfD on the NiMUD article. I believe that at least two of the people who requested Delete were sock-puppets or somehow related to Nandesuka. The users Ronz, Ehheh and JLambert all have similar styles, and Nandesuka sided with them several times, as well as citing sockpuppetry as the reason for the original article being no consensus for deletion. According to Nandesuka, the original article was not deleted due to sockpuppetry, but I am fairly certain, by examination of behavior and contributions, that users Ehheh and Jlambert have functioned in concert with Nandesuka, and that Nandesuka may be the administrator "account" if you will of Jlambert. I have placed a request for checkuser on Nandesuka, Ehheh, Jlambert and Ronz, but they keep removing their sockpuppet tags. Go figure. Doctor Octagon 03:22, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Please keep me out of your tirade. You spammed Interaction Design, an article I've been editing since May. I did a bit of checking on your contributions and found the evidence that you're regularly violating WP:VANITY. I've close to 500 edits and my account is over a year old. Save the sockpuppet accusations for where you have some evidence. --Ronz 15:09, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Personal attacks

This is entirely unacceptable. If you continue to make deeply offensive personal attacks against editors I will block you. Thanks, Gwernol 18:51, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I find most of these unfounded claims to be deeply offensive personal attacks perpetrated by the administrator (and possible sockpuppet) User:Nandesuka. Doctor Octagon 03:40, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Which claims, exactly? Nandesuka 04:20, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
I really don't feel like addressing you at this point. Talk to me after the RFCU. Refer to personal attack (this) for my opinion of your behavior regarding sockpuppetry flags and jumping to conclusions. Frankly, I'd rather deal with other administrators since you haven't been very unbiased or fair. *shrug* There should be a better way, perhaps, of dealing with sockpuppetry claims. Obviously, I couldn't defend myself and no one else can, really. It's unfair, whether that's your fault or not. Doctor Octagon 04:22, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
You have a simple path forward to avoid getting blocked: stop inserting vanity references to Herb Gilliland in Wikipedia articles. If you edit according to Wikipedia policies, I could care less whether you're Herb Gilliland, Young Zaphod, or the Man in the Moon. But, as I have indicated above, if you continue your pattern of unreasonably inserting vanity references to Mr. Gilliland into any article, you will be blocked and your changes reverted. Nandesuka 04:29, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
I'm trying to get my user page unblocked. If I'm not Herb Gilliland, I can't be adding vanity pages. See source(s): http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~heg, and contact the man himself if you want a comment. Doctor Octagon 04:33, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
My personal opinion, of course, is that the evidence that you are him is staggering and overwhelming. But best of luck convincing people that you're a disinterested passer-by who, for no particular reason, developed a compulsion to insert references to someone no one has ever heard of in multiple articles. Nandesuka 04:39, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
I read the logs in Wikipedia. It's hearsay and you are the only one repeating yourself. Doctor Octagon 15:31, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

RFCU Jlambert

Please complete the request for checkuser by putting "explanation of your request for checkuser and examples of policy violations." in place of the text that requests such a thing. --Kevin_b_er 21:52, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Assisstance

I am prepared to help you, but on two conditions:

  1. You do not call anyone a Nazi. I and they find it deeply offensive. For that matter, you do not engage in personal attacks of any sort.
I wish they would stop acting like Nazis. Doctor Octagon 15:48, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
If you are not prepared to stop comparing users to Nazis (and striking out any references you have made), I will not assist you. Do you understand? David Mestel(Talk) 06:36, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
  1. You do not place sockpuppet templates on other users' talk pages unless you have hard evidence. Do as you would be done by.

If you are prepared to agree to those, I am more than happy to assist you. --David Mestel(Talk) 21:49, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Octagon, exactly what relationship, if any, do you have with Herb Gillian? David Mestel(Talk) 08:08, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Nothing more than circumstantial. I read through the discussions on the various articles and was attacked for it, read more in depth about this seething hatred for him, and decided to stand up for him and for freedom of speech. It makes no sense to me why they would pick on and accuse anyone who ever even touches those articles. It's kind of like I ran into some mild form of the KKK or something, a specialized group designed to hate Mr. Gilliland and anyone who would dare support him or his thoughts and ideas. Doctor Octagon 15:47, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and thanks for the assistance. Doctor Octagon 15:48, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Please desist from making spurious and unfounded nonsense edits to anothers userpage - (example) Crimsone 05:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Final personal attack warning

This is your last warning. If you continue to make personal attacks, you may be blocked for disruption. Gwernol 15:52, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

What is this? I haven't made any personal attacks! Doctor Octagon 15:56, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
This is the one I'm referring to, you have several more in your past history. Stop referring to editors as "Nazis" and the "KKK". You have been warned about this enough to know that you need to stop. Gwernol 16:04, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Blocked for personal attacks

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for disrupting Wikipedia by making personal attacks. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Gwernol 14:55, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Page protected

I have protected this talk page from editing due to your unceasing personal attacks. Regards, Nandesuka 15:57, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
