Dr. Abby Sinian is a character from the animated television series SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, voiced by Linda Gary. She is an archaeologist and the curator of the Megakat City Museum of History. Her name is a pun on that of the cat breed abyssinian. Unlike most scientists in her field, Dr. Sinian does not limit herself to the factual and tangible; she is an expert on the supernatural and the occult and often proves useful in situations involving villains like the Pastmaster. She first appears in the episode The Pastmaster Always Rings Twice in which she has a fairly important role. The Casket of the Ages, which had contained the Pastmaster, is brought to her at the museum by the Enforcers. Examining it she concludes it dates back to the Dark Ages, and that their ancestors could have buried anything inside it.
Following this she has a few run-ins with the Pastmaster alongside Deputy Mayor Callie Briggs, and the two are chased to the roof of the museum by the evil wizard's saber-toothed tiger zombie. There, they are saved from falling off the rooftop by the SWAT Kats, who entrap the saber-tooth in quick-drying cement. Sinian concludes that "only a sorcerer's dark power could have brought these ancient bones to life," and is proven correct when the Pastmaster appears, having reacquired his spellbook, the Tome of Time. For the remainder of the episode Sinian tags along with Callie and provides useful information for her (and later Commander Feral).
Dr. Sinian later appears in two more episodes of the series. In The Ghost Pilot, Callie seeks her help in finding a way to stop the ghost of the Red Lynx before he assassinates Mayor Manx. Sinian discovers only the Mayor himself can destroy the Red Lynx. And in The Deadly Pyramid, Sinian, along with her assistant Henson and Megakat Geographic photographer Randall, is searching for the Lost Pyramid of Katchu Picchu when the Pastmaster appears and unearths the structure in question all by himself. When Randall foolishly runs off to get a picture of the Pastmaster, Dr. Sinian and Henson follow him to try and stop him, and instead find themselves being chased by the wizard's newly-acquired army of giant mummy warriors.
The two are rescued by the SWAT Kats, with some help from the guardian robot named Cybertron, and whisked to safety aboard the Turbokat. Later they are returned safely to the museum, where Dr. Sinian explains that the only way to stop the Pastmaster is to destroy the jewelled headdress of power he has taken to wearing.
