PS -- just let me know if you think the colors on any of the bases are too dark. I can easily edit them to be lighter. -Madeleine 02:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Madeleine, nice work. A few comments. i find the colours quite bright, almost too bright, although this may just be me and it is not really a major issue. i think the fact that the purines are red and green is an issue though. This means someone who is colour blind will potentially have a problem distinguishing between the two bases. I would reommend using the following site ( http://www.vischeck.com ) to simulate how it will look for the colourblind, or ask someone who is colourblind to recommend viable combinations that will make it potentially more useful. ( It may be fine but best to check). Otherwise looks good. David D. (Talk) 02:39, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry I didn't see this earlier, forgot to set this page as "watched". That color check website looks useful, I can see what you mean now about the red and green both being purines. According to the site, it also looks like purple and blue are also close together. I'm going to switch the red with blue, then at least the red/green and blue/purple will be on molecules with different shape. If I get a chance (might not see him for weeks), I'll try to ask a colorblind guy I'm acquainted with what he thinks. I'll also tone down the colors, I think you're right about being too bright. -Madeleine 15:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
