DL Thug is a term used in the gay pornography community that refers to a homosexual, often African American, nude model. Most DL Thugs dress as straight "thugs" but are in fact homosexual. This appeals to many in-the-closet African American males who are afraid to reveal their true feelings in fear of losing their hardcore reputation.

The concept of DL Thugs is not extremely popular outside of the Internet, but several famous DL Thugs are Karamo Brown from Real World: Philadelphia, the fifteenth season of a popular reality show on MTV, and most members of GMAD (Gay Men of African Descent).
