I'm David Willis, a research metallurgist from Wollongong, Australia.
I first encountered Wikipedia on 18th May 2003 and made an exploratory edit by adding a page on Hot-dip galvanizing plus a few hyperlinks from Galvanization (a term I would not usually use, is it more common in Europe?) and Rust since that's what galanizing overcomes.
I logged-in under the user name Djw on 25th May 2003 and expect to make occasional contributions. So far, these include:
- Hot-dip galvanizing - my professional specialty.
- Wollongong - my home town.
- BlueScope Steel (formerly known as BHP Steel) - the company I work for.
- Migraine (book) - I have a personal interest since I suffer from migraines.
- Pitcairn Island - having had a most relaxing family vacation on Norfolk Island (the current residence of most Pitcairn Islanders).
