Stop removing the AfD notices on your articles. Make the article better, don't remove the notices, then let people discuss how your changes made the article better. It's not a reflection on you. -- Samir धर्म 08:50, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blanking Warning
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Harry potter candy. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! — Mike • 19:59, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use problem with Image:Frogs.GIF
I notice you uploaded the image Image:Frogs.GIF with a fair use image tag that indicated you were the creator of the image. However, it appears that this tag is totally unrelated to the content of the image, and as a result it has qualified for speedy deletion and has now been deleted from Wikipedia.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why Image:Frogs.GIF can be used under the fair use guidelines, please reupload the image with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{fairusein|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. — Mike • 15:20, 30 June 2006 (UTC) please delete for me
[edit] License tagging for Image:Chocolate Frogs from cards.GIF
Thanks for uploading Image:Chocolate Frogs from cards.GIF. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Regarding the Chocolate Frogs, the Beans, and Recreating Articles
Hi, Djm. I noticed that you reposted the "chocolate frogs" image twice, as well as several other images, and you reposted the "list of Harry Potter sweets" article after it had been deleted.
Not to come across harsh, but you need to stop doing that. Please let me explain why.
You stated in the descriptions for the images that you yourself made the chocolate frogs image. That's not really the case — the picture is from a Harry Potter trading card, and thus, they own the copyright to that image. You don't have the right, unfortunately, to tell Wikipedia that we can use it — or to tell Wikipedia that we can use the Bertie Bott's beans images, and so on.
Also, Wikipedians handle things on this encyclopedia by coming to mutual agreement — by coming to a consensus on things. Wikipedia decided as a whole how to handle the Harry Potter sweets article here — you had your say, but you were outvoted. If you want to stay here and help us contribute to an encyclopedia, you do need to play by Wikipedia's rules — and that includes following decisions that everyone agreed upon, even if they're not how you feel it should have gone.
Now, through our messages above, and this one here, we have tried to explain how policy works and why you shouldn't be doing things in the manner you're doing them. If you ignore these messages and instead continue to upload copyrighted images (without a fair use rationale, which is linked to above) claiming you're their creator, and recreate deleted articles, you may find yourself blocked from editing Wikipedia for periods of time.
Your interest in Harry Potter can definitely be a plus here, but you do need to abide by Wikipedia's rules. Thanks. — Mike (talk • contribs) 03:02, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
