[edit] Welcome!
Hello, DJ BatWave, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. If you would like to experiment with Wikipedia, I personally invite you to do so in my own sandbox (just follow the simple rules!). Again, welcome! — ßottesiηi Tell me what's up 19:08, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Clay4president. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. --Nlu (talk) 01:28, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Closedtoepumps1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Closedtoepumps1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Mark Henry
Have you not been watching Smackdown? Mark Henry hasn't been seen with Daivari since the debut of The Great Khali. Daivari only manages Khali now. --JFred 00:50, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
- First, please post comments on my talk page, not my user page. Second, WWE rarely makes formal announcements with storylines. Third, for the last month, Mark Henry has come out alone, which seems formal enough for me. Forth, please sign your comments using ~~~~ (there's also a shortcut you can click at the top of the screen for it when you edit). And fifth, please read Wikipedia:Civility. --JFred 20:18, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Barney & Friends
You seem like a valid editor so why indulge in vandalism? CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:18, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- I think you should read Wikipedia:No personal attacks and Wikipedia:Civility but it's your choice. Eventually the vandalism will lead to blocking no matter how may good edits you have. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:00, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Incivility in Talk:World Wrestling Entertainment
Some of your comments on the WWE talk page were ridiculously harsh (and, I should add, poorly composed). I'm speaking specifically of:
- hey dickhole all of this is the truth, and if you are a non wrestling fan don't comment asshole.
and:
- Then you care why,dickhole
and:
- oh, it's fine the way it is u 2 are just being pains in the ass
A quick glance at your user talk page shows me that I won't be the first person to direct you to Wikipedia:Civility. I'm assuming you either haven't bothered reading it or don't give a damn. Either way, your behavior is bound to get you suspended or banned eventually. This is just a heads up. Jeff Silvers 05:20, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Photo-0078.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Photo-0078.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:09, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New Age Outlaws/The James Gang
Hi. I noticed that you moved the New Age Outlaws article to The James Gang. However, if you look at the talk page, you can see that a vote was made to move the page from The James Gang to New Age Outlaws, as the pair are more famous under the name New Age Outlaws. As such I have moved it back. Thank you. The Halo (talk) 13:32, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 1992 births category
You can't have this category on your page because it's an article-only category, not a category for Wikipedians (all the other categories on your page are Wikipedian user categories). I suppose you could create a "Wikipedians born in 1992" category, or there may well already be one. Mad Jack 20:56, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

You are the one who vandalized my userpage, by posting "hesucksatthis". I would appreciate if you would just look at my userpage and not vandalize it. This sort of behavior will eventually get you banned. Thanks, User:Clay4president

[edit] The King's Court
It's not a catageory so you would need to use a speedy, a prod or an AfD. Also don't blank the material as it makes more work as someone has to check the history to see why it should be deleted. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 07:44, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

- I just noticed that you put an AfD tag on but you didn't finish the process. You need to read Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. At Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The King's Court (which you forgot to create) you need to explain why it should be deleted. Make sure you follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 23:29, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:FTW.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:FTW.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:05, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Summaries
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. —Mets501 (talk) 02:21, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Moving your userpage elsewhere
You probably should get a username change before you move your talk and user pages to other places. See Wikipedia:Changing_username Kevin_b_er 01:26, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- That is correct, you should not simply move your userpages, as that does not change your name. I'm not even sure the new name would be allowed, under the inappropriate username policy. Petros471 08:00, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] South Park WikiProject
I have thought of creating a WikiProject for South Park since it is now near its' 10th anniversary and has more articles than ever. I feel we could all do the following things through this project:
- Cleanup any short/poorly written/unformatted articles
- Merge/lengthen the many character articles
- Improve the South Park main page
I have seen your South Park fan template and wondered if you were interested in joining. If so reply to my talk page and I'll get back to you as quick as I can. Thanks, Mr. Garrison
[edit] Contact info
Hi, DJBatWave: I removed some content from your userpage per WP:NOT (Wikipedia is not an advertising service, Wikipedia is not MySpace). I hope that is OK with you, please contact me if you want to discuss it. I notified the administrators (I am not one) through this page. Happy editing! Anchoress 03:30, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Based on the request and concerns for your privacy as a minor, I have deleted the history of your userpage. [edit] Regarding edits made during January 15, 2007 (UTC) to Paparazzi Championship Series
It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Paparazzi Championship Series. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. →AzaToth 01:42, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Eddie Kraven
According to OVW's webite, Kraven is gone from OVW and Bad Kompany. http://www.ovwrestling.com/Superstars/bad_kompany.htm. You will see there that his name is no longer listed. --James Duggan 02:53, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with John Cena and Shawn Michaels. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are however welcome to comment the deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. One Night In Hackney 23:22, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] John Cena and Shawn Michaels
Please check the page history. I did not nominate the article for deletion. However removing Afd templates is vandalism, and I was simply restoring the Afd template. Removing the template prevents people knowing there is a debate taking place, and people will not know to comment. One Night In Hackney 23:25, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- I nominated them because in my opinion their content was not verifiable, and verifiability is an official policy on Wikipedia. If the article are not verifiable in several months time, I will not hesitate to nominate them again. One Night In Hackney 23:30, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- No, it isn't. Please see - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deal or No Deal (UK game show) records (second nomination). Administator Sam Blanning states;
-
Delete unless sourced. Verification has to be repeatable, and already-broadcast episodes of game shows are not, by and large, retrievable for anyone who wants to check the facts. The episodes of most fiction TV programmes can be used as primary sources because every episode is usually easily available on video, but episodes of daily gameshows are not.
- Replace game shows with wrestling shows, and you see the problem. Sources have to be specific, you can't just say "well watch next week's show, you'll see the moves". One Night In Hackney 23:37, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- Several members of the Wikipedia wrestling project have the same opinion as you, however it is incorrect. The proper way to create an article is from sources, for example if I was planning to create an article about a person I would collect information from biographies, newspapers, interviews and so on. I would then use these to create the article. That's how Wikipedia is supposed to work, article are created from sources. If the articles had been created like that to begin with, there would be no reason to delete them. Do you understand? One Night In Hackney 23:44, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
-
With regards to your comments on User talk:One Night In Hackney: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. [edit] AfD nomination of Cody Runnels and Shawn Spears
An editor has nominated Cody Runnels and Shawn Spears, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cody Runnels and Shawn Spears and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Jayden54Bot 15:11, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- There is no point to this article. There is nothing that can't be included onto the main article of those individual wrestlers articles. There have been teg teams that have won the Tag Team Championships on RAW and SmackDown! that don't deserve articles and they are more notable than Cody Runnels and Shawn Spears. This isn't a wrestling wiki to dump any and all information about professional wrestling. — Moe 02:37, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mike Awesome
It was agreed on the talk page to move it to Mike Awesome over a year ago. Since it is obvious that moving it IS controversial, if you want to have it moved you should request it at WP:RM. Please do not just move it again or it will be considered vandalism. TJ Spyke 05:44, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cody Runnels and Shawn Spears
If I ever see that kind of deceptive page moving making sure the content of a afd that was successful was readded, I'll make sure you are blocked from editing Wikipedia. — Moe 05:52, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Because One/two sentence articles are no help. Improving their other articles ahould be our goal, not creating crappy stubs. And pardon your personal attacks. — Moe 06:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's been through AFD. The article should be deleted. I don't appriciate your deceptive tricks into thinking I never edited the article by obscuring the history by moving it 6-7 times. It has no room to improve and discuss it at deletion review rather than go against policy and game the system. And calling me, directing towards me is a personal attack, it's directed towards me and it's certainly not a positive comment. — Moe 06:12, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Come off it already. If they make it out of OVW, and the are a team on RAW/SmackDown!/ECW and they do something worth mentioning, then by all means recreate the article under the appropriate title and let that be it. It's over. — Moe 06:21, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
