Dj slouch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dj Slouch (born Ian Bradley, just outside of Washington D.C. in Rockville, Maryland) was heavily influenced by the grunge rock, jazz and classical music that surrounded him, he trained as a guitarist and pianist for the majority of his youth. During his high school years he began to explore new styles of music as well as the history of hip-hop and electronica. He finally took the oppurtunity to explore production while attending the Rhode Island School of Design. Inspired by artists such as Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Prefuse 73 and Aphex Twin, DJ Krush, Dabrye and Ted James, he began to create his own sound, blending classical, cinematic, and progressive structures with the feel of gritty, abstract urban rythms. His debut LP 'Viva' was released on Cozy Music in August of 2006, it is followed by his more pensive and focused album, 'Varistor' Spring 2007 on Suspicious Records. He currently resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
