Dizzy Detectives

Dizzy Detectives is a 1943 Three Stooges film in which the Stooges are carpenters turned police officers out to arrest a notorious ape that is burglarizing buildings.

After mishaps ensue during their attempt at installing a door, the boys become police officers. The head of the citizen's league, Mr. Dill, warns the police commissioner that he must capture the ape man that is terrorizing the city, or he will have his job.

The boys get a tip that the ape man is burglarizing a particular store and head out to catch him. While there, they encounter a live gorilla, and the thugs that were running the racket, including Mr. Dill. After beating up the thugs, Curly disposes of the gorilla, who had just drank a bottle of Nitro Glycerin, by head butting him, causing him to explode.
