Dizin is a ski resort situated to the north of Tehran in the Alborz mountain range.

The huge Dizin ski resort was established in 1979 by the Islamic Ministry of Tourism straight after the Iranian revolution and has a reputation for excellent snow, because of its altitude and the north facing slopes. And because of the altitude, the ski season in Dizin also lasts longer than European ski resorts [1].

Its altitude of 19,530 feet makes it one of the 40 highest ski resorts in the world (the highest ski lift here reaches 19,482 feet).

Dizin ski amenities include two hotels, 19 cottages and 5 restaurants, Nice hotels,cheap and beautiful villas and private apartments around the Dizin ski resort accommodate thousands of people every year. With only two hours of driving away from Tehran many people prefer not to stay overnight.
