Division of Hinkler

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Division of Hinkler is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. The division was created in 1984 and is named for Bert Hinkler, a pioneer Australian aviator. The seat is located in coastal Queensland, including the towns of Bundaberg, Gladstone, Childers, Gayndah and Monto. The seat is marginal between the Australian Labor Party and the National Party of Australia.

Following a redistribution in 2006 the composition of the electorate changed and Gladstone and its surrounding area was removed to become part of the Division_of_Flynn.
