Divakar Viswanath

Divakar Viswanath is a mathematician who discovered Viswanath's constant in 1999. At the time, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, California. Before that, he conducted research under L. Trefethen at Cornell University. He is now an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Michigan.
His contributions to the field of Mathematics and Finance are immense with his main areas of research being Finance and Actuary. One of his famous research papers focuses on the "Shuffling cards for bridge, blackjack and other card games".
