[edit] Medals vs. placement

If I remember well, athletes for demonstration sports were indeed awarded gold, silver and bronze medals, but of a smaller diameter than the ones of the Olympic events. You can see that in the picture of Alexander Spitz in the IOC results - see .pdf in the references. Hektor 21:48, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
