Distractions is the twelfth episode of the second season of House, which premiered on the FOX network on February 14, 2006.
[edit] Synopsis
Logistical problems arise when House and his team cannot do their normal tests due to severe burns. House creatively applies very old treatments in circumventing a lack of imaging diagnostics such as MRI and CAT scans. A Dr. Webber, fellow student from House's med school days, gives a lecture on his migraine treatment, and House partially discredits his work, getting the doctor's funding and clinical trials canceled. While the episode indicates the shaky scientific grounding of the study, House is also revenging himself for an incident in medical school where he cheated off of the man's work.
