Dirty White Boy (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dirty White Boy was a short-lived, bluesy sleaze rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, USA in 1988. The band released an album called Bad Reputation in 1990 and toured the U.S.A. and Europe to support it before never being heard of again.

The band consisted of three musicians already somewhat established in the music world and wanting to try their hands at joining in with the current trends. These were, David Glen Eisley (ex-Giuffria vocalist), Earl Slick (guitarist of John Lennon and David Bowie fame), and Keni Richards (ex-Autograph drummer). They employed bass player F. Kirk Alley and quickly went to work on their debut album with famed producer Beau Hill. However with the release of Bad Reputation and its singles, "Let's Spend Momma's Money" and "Lazy Crazy", the group was unhappy with the production. This along with the changing music scene at the time meaning the tour was a failure resulted in the band's split.

Eisley resurfaced in Murderer's Row with Bob Kulick and also released a solo album called The Lost Tapes that featured some unreleased Dirty White Boy songs. Slick would join another similar sounding band called Little Caesar before hooking up with Richards for some solo discs.
