Direct Hit Records

Direct Hit Records spawned out of the small independent record store of the same name. Kelly Keys owner of Direct Hit opened the store in 1989 in Dallas, Texas. Local area band members ebbed in and out of the store, dropping off cassette tapes. The first release was a 7" vinyl record from Lithium X-Mas. 35 releases in total were produced until 2000 when the label closed it's doors after a move to San Francisco. This small influential label, spawned some of the best Texas artist of the time, including Brutal Juice, Bedhead, ASD and The Grown-Ups and a few out of state bands Michael W. Dean, Malachai and Exit Human.
