Dipak Narshibhai Patel (b. 25 October 1958 in Nairobi, Kenya) played 37 Tests and 75 one-day internationals for New Zealand. Played for first class cricket for Worcestershire in England in the 1980's before emigrating to New Zealand, where he became well known in particular for a stunning catch on the boundary against Australia and for opening the bowling in the 1991-92 World Cup. Since retiring, he has coached at a provincial (first-class) level in New Zealand.
