Diocese of Lugo

Diocese of Lugo Is one of the five districts in which the Roman Catholic church divides Galicia in North-western Spain. The bishop has "cathedra" (i.e.: from Latin "seat") in the Cathedral of Lugo and his jurisdiction covers 1,138 parishes in 3 provinces as follows: 1 district with 56 parishes in the Province of A Coruña, 3 districts with 135 parishes in the Province of Pontevedra and the remaining 947 parishes in the Province of Lugo.
