Diocese of Galway

In the Roman Catholic Church, the diocese of Galway was erected on 26 April 1831. It as united with the Diocese of Kilmacduagh on 5 June 1883 to become the Diocese of Galway and Kilmacduagh[1]. In the Church of Ireland, the Diocese of Galway doesn't exist. The region of Galway is part of the Diocese of Tuam, Killala and Achonry and the Diocese of Limerick and Killaloe.
