- This is the first premium download in the Zoo Tycoon series.
- Another extinct animal Zoo Tycoon pack, Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals, will be released April 2007. Extinct Animals is a full expansion.
- In all the dinosaurs, the male is more brightly colored than the female. For example, the male Styracosaurus is a bright orange, but the female is brown. (See sexual dimorphism)
- The carnivores will eat guests.
- On the animal escapades section of the website the picture of what is supposed to be a male Tyrannosaurus named 'Terrence' is female.
- Rather than being published by Microsoft Game Studios, the Dino Danger Pack was published by Oberon Media Inc.
