Is Dino the first ever incidence of a principal character in the first episode of a TV series being killed off during that episode? Ellsworth 23:06, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Watching the first ep it would definitely seem that Ortolani would be a major character. I don't know if he's the first in a TV series but Hitchcock pulled a similar switch in Psycho where he killed off the star in the first reel. Now the movie is know as being about Norman Bates but someone going in and watching it at the time would have thought it was about Janet Leigh on the run with her stolen money.
