[edit] The Phone Call

Via Vegas Pundit, vegaspundit.typepad.com:

Dina Titus left a voicemail informing someone that the someone had made a "very bad choice" in deciding to volunteer for the Gibson campaign. This potentially embarassing or even political career-ending phone call was revealed shortly after it was made, on the day of the primary, during which Titus decisively defeated her pro-life Democratic opponent.

This information is not very sourced - although you can hear the phone call yourself, Not a Happy Camper is the post.

[edit] Western Nevada

I think it's fair to say that most of Northern Nevada *is* rural, whereas Western Nevada – everything from Spanish Springs to Minden, east to Fernley, all within 60 miles of the California border – is urban and suburban.

Thus, Dina Titus did well in one of Nevada's three regions – Southern Nevada (Las Vegas), Rural Nevada (Elko, Lander, Esmeralda, Nye, Lincoln, etc.) and Western Nevada (Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey and Lyon). MojaveNC 08:35, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Titus' UNR/UNLV gaffe

Just want to open a discussion regarding Titus' UNLV student gaffe at the UNR debate before we kill it or let it stand. Personally, I don't think it's worthy of the entry because it wasn't a huge part of the campaign. It's akin to Bob Dole falling off the stage — the race was already over.
