From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dino Parenti (born 1947) is the author of Tuscan Son: A Journey of Discovery of an Italian-American Family Ancestry, (ISBN 0-9787382-0-9) published in 2006. It is the account of his 43-year odyssey from a small farm town in Indiana to a small farm town in Carraia, Italy where he discovered over 23 generations of his paternal great-grandfathers and their histories. The book is unique in the historical documentation from Ellis Island records back to notary records in the archives of 13th century Medieval Lucca. Dino Parenti is further researching this history, pursuing links to 8th and 9th century records. A follow-up account of these discoveries and a reference guide for Italian-American genealogical researchers is planned.
Dino Parenti is a notable personality in Portland, Oregon. A Northwest book tour is anticipated.
Dino and Priscillia Parenti (noted Artist) created the Normal Heights rose garden in San Diego.
