Dingle Marina

Dingle Marina is located in Dingle harbour, a town on the South side of the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. It is a well equipped marina with excellent services, located close to the centre of a thriving town, with a good selection of shops and other facilities.

Dingle is famous for restaurants, being the epicurean centre of the South West of Ireland. It is both a country market town and a thriving tourist destination, particularly from Easter to October. Many visit Dingle to see the famous dolphin Fungi who has taken up residence at the mouth of the harbour. Hill-walking is another attraction of the hinterland.

Dingle is located in a Gaeltacht where many native speakers Irish, encouraged by State Grants. Year round students, of all ages come to learn the language, staying in local homes.

Sailing North from Dingle, small craft usually pass through the Blasket sound. This is a relatively safe passage for small craft but requires care. Detailed charts of the area should be consulted as no navigational aids are evident.[citation needed]
