[edit] Day 4
In the beginning of day 4, Dina explains to her son Behrooz that their family’s mission is a difficult one. Then, Dina offers to take Behrooz’s place in delivering a device. But her husband Navi Araz insists that their son do the job. When Navi wants Behrooz's girlfriend Debbie Pendleton dead for seeing Behrooz deliver a device, Dina agrees to talk to her husband on Behrooz’s behalf to save the girl. Yet when Dina calls Navi, she tells him that she will handle it. Dina assures Behrooz that he doesn’t need to bring the girl over. Instead, Dina summons Debbie to the house herself. Dina graciously offers Debbie tea and inquires about who she told about Behrooz’s earlier delivery. Debbie hasn’t spoken to anyone, and Dina calls her husband. They agree that Behrooz should kill the girl himself. Dina gives her son a gun. Knowing that Behrooz won’t kill Debbie, Dina poisons Debbie’s tea. Dina plugs a bullet into Debbie’s body to make it seem like Behrooz killed her. When Debbie’s mother, Karen Pendleton grows suspicious over her daughter’s disappearance, Dina goes to follow the woman.
When Dina hears that Habib Marwan orders that Behrooz is going to be killed, she is very upset. Dina is then surprised when she gets a call from Behrooz, and she promises to pick him up. Dina lashes out at her husband for trying to kill their son and says she will never forgive him. She agrees to let Navi follow her to the meeting point, but instead of taking Behrooz to face retribution, Dina urges him to run away. Navi and his men shoot Dina. Behrooz jumps in her car and they escape. Dina tries to convince Behrooz to leave her so that he can save himself, but he takes her to the emergency room. A suspicious doctor notifies the police when he sees her gunshot wound. Dina and Behrooz escape the hospital before she can be treated. They then run to a hotel.
Dina attempts to shoot herself when CTU raids her hotel room, but Jack Bauer pulls the gun away. She refuses to give any answers until Jack says that he can grant clemency for Behrooz and protect him from Navi. Fearing for her son’s life, Dina leads the agents to the hospital where Behrooz went. She is horrified when she sees Navi escape with Behrooz at gunpoint. Knowing that it is too late to save her son, Dina tells Jack that she is glad the plan is moving forward to cause a nuclear meltdown. Jack then has Dina phone her husband so that they can distract him. After Behrooz kills Navi, Dina is relieved that her son is alive. The only information that she can give to Jack is an address where most of their operations took place. Dina and Behrooz are taken back to CTU for questioning.
At first, in interrogation, Dina doesn’t give up any important information to Tony Almeida. He then threatens to send Behrooz to prison where he will be so tortured that he will want to kill himself. Dina finally relents, and tells Tony that Marwan is the cell leader who has the Override device.
Jack then convinces Dina that he will allow her to be with her son if she cooperates with an undercover operation to find Marwan. Dina assures Behrooz that she is only doing this to let them reunite, but Behrooz is still afraid for her. When Marwan asks her to prove her loyalty by shooting Jack, Dina instead turns the gun on Marwan. The chamber is empty. Marwan has her killed off screen.
