Dimitris Sioufas

Dimitris Sioufas (born August 15, 1944) (Greek: Δημήτρης Σιούφας) is a Greek lawyer, New Democracy politician and current Minister for Development.
Born in Ellinopyrgos, Karditsa, he has a degree in political science and public administration at the Panteion University of Athens as well as in law from the University of Thessaloniki.
He first elected to the Greek Parliament for the Karditsa consituency in the 1981 general election 1981, and was reelected at every election since. He was Minister of Health, Welfare & Social Services from 1991 to 1992.
He was appointed Minister for Development on March 10, 2004.
He is married Kaity Anagnostaki and has two sons and a daughter.
