Dimitar Telkiyski (Bulgarian: Димитър Телкийски) (born May 5, 1977 in Plovdiv) is a Bulgarian football player who is currently playing for PFC Levski Sofia. Telkiyski is a strong central/right midfielder who can play well both as an attacking central midfielder and right winger. Mecho "The Bear" as he is known among the Levski supporters because of his drowsy look, started his career in his home town Plovdiv, playing for one of the oldest and most supported football teams in Bulgaria Botev Plovdiv. He became one of the best midfielders in the country very soon and attracted the attention of the grands from Sofia. He joined Levski in 2000 and won three consecutive titles. However, at this time he was used mainly as a substitute. He became a first team regular in 2003. In 2006, he was among the most influential players for Levski in their success in the UEFA Cup.
